👨🏻💼 VACANCY: Programme Development Coordinator

🎓 Responsibilities:
Coordinate the development and review of academic programmes and curricula, including short courses, ensuring compliance with institutional standards and relevant regulatory quality assurance frameworks. Develop, review, and ensure the effective implementation of the NUST Curriculum Framework, along with associated policies, processes, and guidelines. Facilitate and coordinate the registration of qualifications on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) to ensure alignment with national standards. Provide support and guidance to faculties on curriculum development and NQF requirements through targeted capacity-building initiatives, enhancing their capabilities in these areas. Research curriculum development practices to identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement, ensuring that the curriculum remains relevant and effective. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and insights on curriculum effectiveness and make recommendations for necessary adjustments. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of academic programmes and curricula to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards and perform any additional responsibilities as assigned by superiors.
🎓 Job Requirements:
A Bachelor (Honours) Degree (NQF Level 8) in Education or an equivalent qualification with three (3) years of relevant experience in Higher Education. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and interpret data effectively. Sound knowledge of curriculum development and design principles. Familiarity with Higher Education legislation and policies and understanding of National Qualification Frameworks (NQFs), including those applicable to Namibia as well as knowledge of Higher Education quality assurance systems and processes.
All qualifications must be certified by the Police within the last three (3) months, and all foreign qualifications must be validated by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA). The normal retirement age is 65. Non-Namibian candidates who are deemed suitable for appointment will be offered a contract of five (5) years.
