👨🏻💼 VACANCY: Artisan: Welder

🎓 Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled technical work within the parameters of the trade by installing, repairing, maintaining in according to set standards, procedures and specifications, in area of responsibility
- Inform the Supervisor of all work performed in the section by reporting on work orders/requests, possible causes, estimated life span of components/ parts, spares used, time taken and recommendations to improve efficiency.
- Schedule maintenance activities.
- Perform a variety of brazing and welding tasks using arc welding, semi-automatic welding, gas welding and gas cutting techniques.
- Comply to Company job safety and good housekeeping standards/practices at all times.
- Mentor and coach apprentices for skills transfer and empowerment.
🎓 Job Requirements:
- Grade 10 with 24 points over 7 subjects with at least a D symbol in English.
- A Recognised Trade Certificate in Welding.
- 3 years’ post apprenticeship experience as a Welder in a maintenance environment.
- Experience in fault finding and welding and gas work practices.
- Working experience in heavy mining rebuild workshops an added advantage.
- Experience in interpretation of welding symbols.
- Experience in TIG welding is an added advantage.
- Previous coded Welding experience will be an added advantage.
- Valid Code B/BE Driver’s License.
