Namibian Defence Force Shortlisted Candidates 2025–2026 PDF Download

The Namibian Defence Force (NDF) conducted its recruitment process for the 2025–2026 intake to select new Recruits and Officer Cadets. Thousands of candidates from all 14 regions of Namibia applied for this recruitment.

Now, all applicants are waiting for the NDF Shortlisted Candidates List 2026, which will be released officially on the Ministry of Defence website.

Namibian Defence Force Shortlisted Candidates 2026

The NDF shortlisted candidates list 2026 is expected to be published in January 2026. Candidates who applied for positions such as:

  • Recruits
  • Officer Cadets
  • Drivers
  • Pilots
  • can check their names online once the list is released.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the next stage, which includes:

  • Physical fitness test
  • Medical examination
  • Document verification

Selected candidates will undergo basic military training at NDF training centres, including Okahandja.

Ministry of Defence Releases Shortlisted Candidates for 2026 Recruitment

The Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs has officially announced the list of shortlisted candidates for the 2026 recruitment process.

All shortlisted candidates are required to report to their respective regional centres on Tuesday, 03 February 2026 at 06:00 AM for the Pre-Entry and Physical Fitness Tests.

Only candidates whose names appear on the official shortlist should attend the tests.

Important Information for Candidates

  1. Only candidates who pass the Pre-Entry Test will move to the next stage.
  2. Successful candidates must arrange their own transport, meals, and accommodation.
  3. The entire recruitment process is expected to end by 03 March 2026.
  4. Candidates who fail the tests will not receive any further communication.
  5. Latecomers will not be allowed to participate and will be disqualified.

  • Written English Test
  • General Knowledge Test
  • Physical Fitness Test

Documents to Bring

All candidates must carry the following original documents:

  1. National Identity Card
  2. Full Birth Certificate
  3. Medical Health Passport
  4. Two pens

Dress Code

Candidates must wear sports attire only, including:

  • T-shirt
  • Physical training shorts
  • Running shoes

No other clothing will be accepted.

Testing Locations

Candidates will only be tested in the same region where they were shortlisted.

Instructions for NYS Candidates

National Youth Service (NYS) candidates must report on:

  • Date: Friday, 06 February 2026
  • Time: 06:00 AM
  • Activities:

    • Fingerprint verification at designated Police Stations

    • Medical examinations

NYS candidates must contact their regional NDF Recruitment Officers for guidance.

Final Notice

Regional Governors, Chief Regional Officers, and Constituency Councillors have been requested to share this information with all shortlisted candidates.

Only shortlisted candidates are required to report.
This recruitment is conducted under the Defence Act, 2002 (Act 1 of 2002).
