👨🏻💼 VACANCY: Laboratory Technician: Emergency Medical Care

🎓 Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair, and utilise clinical laboratory equipment properly. Maintain training equipment, various emergency medical service equipment and related consumables. Prepare practical sessions and facilitate practical sessions for Emergency Medical Care and Basic Rescue courses. Assist the WIL coordinator with scheduling clinical shifts for four (4) cohorts of students, engage with industry partners and ensure registration of students with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (AHPCNA). Ensure compliance with safety standards and the functionality of the NUST‐Response Vehicle and the related fixed equipment/consumables.
🎓 Job Requirements:
A Bachelor (Honours) degree (NQF Level 8) in Emergency Medical Care (EMC) with two (2) years of industry experience and/or academic laboratory experience in Emergency Medical Care. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Must be registered/registrable with the Allied Health Professions Council of Namibia (AHPCNA). Competent to provide first aid training or required to complete necessary first aid trainer certification.
