👨🏻💼 Position: Occupational Hygiene Specialist
- Location: Namibia
- Salary: As Per Market Related

🎓 Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular workplace and community inspections to identify potential health hazards.
- Implement and oversee monitoring programs to measure employee and community exposure to chemical, physical, and biological agents.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international occupational health regulations and standards.
- Handle employee relations and address grievances.
- Raise awareness about occupational health risks and promote a culture of safety to employees and community.
- Continuously review and update programs to reflect changes in regulations, technology, and workplace conditions.
- Provide expert guidance on monitoring blood lead levels (BLLS) in potentially exposed populations, including workers and the community.
🎓 Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in occupational health/hygiene, environmental health, industrial hygiene, chemistry, or a related science discipline.
- 3-5 years’ experience in the implementation of occupational hygiene risk management.
Knowledge of occupational hygiene monitoring programs and equipment - Knowledge of occupational health and hygiene legal frameworks
- Knowledge of SHEQ standards (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001)
- Registration with the Health Professions Council
- Professional registration with an accredited Hygienist institution (e.g. SAIOH, BOHS, AIΟΗ)
- Code B Driver’s license
