👨🏻‍💼 Position: Compliance Officer (Unit Trust)

• Location: Windhoek, Khomas, Namibia
• Salary: As Per Market Related

🎓 Responsibilities:

1. Interpret legislation, regulations, guidance notes and directives etc. to identify and assess compliance risks
2. Draft documents, processes, policies and procedures to address compliance risks
3. Implement processes, policies, procedures and controls to effectively manage compliance risks
4. Ensure that compliance processes, policies and procedures and controls are maintained
5. Consult with and provide recommendations with the business unit, to sufficiently address compliance deficiencies
6. Monitor and report on compliance risks
7. Attend to certain compliance reporting
8. Engagement with auditors and attend to compliance related aspects in audit reports
9. Engagement with regulators (attend at inspections and attend to enquiries/questionnaires/reports)
10. Ensure that the business unit staff complete the compliance related training and assessment

🎓 Job Requirements:

1. Grade 12
2. Bachelor Degree in Law
3. Admitted Attorney (would be an advantage)
4. Experience in compliance risk management environment (would be an advantage)
5. Diploma / Certificate in Compliance Management (would be an advantage)
6. Knowledge and insight of legislation and compliance risk management (would be an advantage)
