👨🏻‍💼 Position: Billing Administrator

  • Location: Walvis Bay, Erongo Region, Namibia
  • Salary: As Per Market Related
  • Application Deadline: 09 October 2025

🎓 Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient benefits and eligibility prior to treatment
  • Review and coordinate treatment sheets for correct billing codes (ICD10 and Namaf tariff codes).
  • Execute end-to-end billing processes, prepare invoices, and submit medical aid claims.
  • Allocate payment receipts to correct invoices.
  • Reconcile outstanding balances and assist with monitoring aged receivables.
  • Produce day-end and month-end billing reports.
  • Correspond with medical aids regarding claims, reviews, and appeals within filing deadlines.
  • Handle billing inquiries from patients or medical aids.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient billing records and financial data.
  • Ensure compliance documentation is updated and submitted on time.

🎓 Job Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in the billing department of a clinic, hospital, or medical practice.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in business, healthcare administration, accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Computer and digital literacy with strong skills in MS Excel, with ability to use functions, filtering, and sorting).
  • Basic accounting knowledge, including understanding aged receivables.
  • Experience with billing software and electronic medical records (GoodX knowledge will be an advantage).
  • Knowledge of Narmaf Tariff Codes and ICD10 codes preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and fluency in English required.
  • Outstanding problem solving and organisational abilities required
