👨🏻‍💼 VACANCY: Senior Technician: Maintenance (Si) (Erongo Region)

🎓 Responsibilities:

Implement reliability practices and objectives for improving equipment and process reliability.
Support the application of RCA/RCM principles to minimise costly equipment failures and downtimes through precision monitoring of operations.
Monitor and quantify reliability cost savings based on field results achieved, reviewed and action plans closed out.
Provide assistance to maintenance and Project teams with processes for effective analytical reviews, maintenance optimization, condition monitoring
Support user problems, initiate corrections, monitors and requests system changes and tests corrections and enhancements.
Supports the implementation of reliability improvement initiatives and monitors as required.
Ensure compliance to SU standard RCM key performance indicators and to meet internal reporting requirements and corrects deviations, as required.
Identify production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost with assets, and consults with maintenance team leaders on potential solutions.
Provide input to a Risk Management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact various equipment operations.
Build focus on importance of reliability performance (measured by mean time between failures (MTBF) and (MTTR) mean time to repair events to the artisan skill level to ensure understanding and related actions.
Carry out any lawful instruction and tasks, in accordance with all laid down SSHERQ standards, practices, policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Adhere to and maintain work area clean and tidy, in accordance with good housekeeping standards.

🎓 Job Requirements:

Grade 12 or current NSSCO with 20 points over 5 subjects.
National Technical Diploma (N6) or an equivalent qualification with a National Vocational Trade Certificate (N3) in Electrical.
Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship experience in an engineering environment.
Experience in the application of RCM/RCS/FMEA analysis.
OEM Equipment Management Systems (ET, VIMS, KOMTRAX, etc)
SAP PM.
Data evaluation and statistics experience.
Valid Code B/BE Driver’s License.
