👨🏻‍💼 Position: Principal Analyst: Nps and Virtual Assets (Licensing and Regulation)

🎓 Responsibilities:

• Bank of Namibia regulatory environment (Payment System Management Act, Banking Institutions Act, Bank of Namibia Act, Exchange Control Act, Virtual Asset Act, Financial Intelligence Act).
• National Payment System (Clearing, Payment, and Settlement Systems).
• International standards i.e. Financial Markets Infrastructure Principles; Oversight Principles; and all payment systems related regulations.
• Blockchain, virtual assets and exchanges.
• Understanding of emerging technologies (e.g., Open Banking, QR codes, instant/fast payments).
• Familiarity with cross-border payments and interoperability frameworks (e.g., ISO 20022, Regional Payment Systems).

🎓 Job Requirements:

Minimum Experience: 5+ Years with 5 to 8 years of experience in a financial regulatory environment, of which 2 years must be at a supervisory level. • Experience and understanding of Virtual Assets and the exchanges ecosystem. • Understanding of emerging technologies (e.g., Open Banking, QR codes, real-time payments) • Familiarity with cross-border payments and interoperability frameworks (e.g., ISO 20022, regional cross-border systems)

Minimum Qualification: Postgraduate Diploma in • Postgraduate or equivalent qualification in banking/finance/law/economics • Management Development Programme or equivalent • Payment Systems Training or equivalent
