PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
RECRUITMENT INTO THE NAMIBIAN DEFENCE FORCE
The Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs (MODVA) is requesting the following listed potential candidates to report themselves at NDF Training Establishment (NDF TE), Military Base Osona, Okahandja as from 12-14 May 2025 to possibly undergo military training only after candidates passed the medical examination review at NDF TE.
Take Note: All Shortlisted candidates are requested to bring along latest certified copies and original documents of their education qualifications, National Identify Cards, Birth Certificates, Tax Certificates, Bank Confirmation Letters. All candidates should also bring along latest certified copies of identity cards of their beneficiaries.
Governors and Constituency Councillors are kindly requested to disseminate the information to candidates within their respective regions and constituencies as soon as possible. All candidates are advised to bring along their sport attires and running shoes. Only shortlisted candidates should report at the NDF Training Establishment as from 08h00- 17h00 daily. No candidates will be attended to as from 15 May 2025.
ALL CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED NOT TO BRING ALONG THEIR MOBILE PHONES.

The Namibian Defence Force (NDF) plans to recruit 1,500 new members in March 2025. The NDF Recruitment Planning Committee will conduct the recruitment process across all 14 regions of Namibia.


- Applicants must be Namibian citizens
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 25
- Applicants must have passed grade 12 or an equivalent certificate with 25 points in five subjects, including an E symbol in English
- Applicants must pass a medical exam, a general knowledge test, and a fitness test
- Physically and medically fit
- No criminal record
- Application forms were accepted from November 1–15, 2024
- 3,000 cadets were shortlisted, and 1,500 were selected for the final cut
