👨🏻‍💼 Position: Senior Officer: Network (Erongo Region)

🎓 Responsibilities:

Provide all hardware, network and communication systems solution to meet SU’s business and user requirements.
Design, configure, test and implement the network (LAN, WAN and MAN) specifications.
Ensure the network performance, by evaluating factors including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
Set-up and manage network and communication systems’ security, internal control and governance.
Coordinate and perform troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery as per procedures.
Define and update maintenance and revision cycles and plans.
Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of networks, communication systems, software programs and applications.
Initiate payments process for all communication costs related to IT.
Infrastructure cabling Installation, deployment and maintenance.
Attend to call-outs and Standby related to the area.
Draft the creation and maintenance of all network documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, modifications and upgrades.

Lead and co-ordinate the work of the contractor to accomplish designated objectives.

🎓 Job Requirements:

Grade 12 or current NSSCO with 20 points over 5 subjects.
B Tech/ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or BSc Computer Science or related qualification.
5 years’ working experience in a data network environment.
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) will be an added advantage.
CCNP Certified Networking Professional.
Code B or BE Driver’s License.
