- Location: Procurements and Logistics Directorate, Windhoek, Namibia
- Salary Grade:– Grade 8
- Salary: N$238 825 – N$285 420

🎓 Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be required to be responsible for maintenance, repair and modification of firearms used by the Namibian Police Force. The candidate should have higher level of technical expertise and adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of firearms.
• Diagnose malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
• Modify firearms as per specification or requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed on firearms.
• Ensure compliance with national laws and regulations regarding firearms and
• Provide training and guidance to police personnel on firearms handling and maintenance.
🎓 Job Requirements:
• Have a Diploma Level 6 or higher or Certification in gunsmith or a related field of gunsmith
• Be between the age of 25-45 years old;
• At least have five (5) years of working experience as a gunsmith or similar role;
• Skillful in the use of gunsmith tools and equipment;
• Valid firearms license as per the Namibian law;
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work;
• Ability to work independently as well as in team;
• Excellent problem solving skills;
• High ethical standards and integrity in handling firearms;
• Must be physically fit to perform manual task associated with gunsmith;
• Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 25kg) or more as required.
