🎓 Responsibilities:

• Striving for Zero Harm by complying to RUL HSE policies, procedures and standards and have completed all of the necessary compliance training while utilising the appropriate HSE tools.
• Consulting with operations, business, management staff and system vendors to determine existing and future solutions aligning to the overall IT Strategy.
• Analysing process flow, evaluate opportunity to automate manual process and implement automation for process optimisation in line with company strategic objective.
• Designs and supports interfaces between business systems (e.g., SAP, Data Lake) and automation systems (e.g., MES, historian platforms, AI-driven tools).
• Supporting the drive for the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT, AI, and machine learning, to modernize processes and systems.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to collect and document various business needs and transform them into detailed technical requirements.
• Creating, maintain and update system documentation including procedures, change logs, process flow diagrams and troubleshooting guides.
• Providing input into related operational and capital expenditures including the creation of Capital appropriation requests (CAR’s) and Capital Expenditure approval (CEA’s), review costs and follow up on any variances / overspending.

🎓 Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (NQF L7) in computer science/information systems/ Informatic or Equivalent Degree, A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Process Automations (e.g., SCADA, AgilePoint, DCS, MES) at a large organisation.

OR

• 3 Years National Diploma (NQF L6) in Computer Science/Information Systems/ Informatic or Equivalent Diploma, Minimum of Seven (7) years’ experience in Process Automations (e.g., SCADA, AgilePoint, DCS, MES) at a large organisation.
• A valid Code B Driver’s License
• A Police certificate of conduct not older than six months is required. A record will not automatically disqualify candidates.
